Admission Requirements: - An attested bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university recognized by the Ministry of Education in the UAE. - A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. - A minimum score of 4.5 in IELTS (Academic) or equivalent for all graduate programs taught in Arabic. - Pass the written exam and personal interview. MBZUH graduates are exempt from the written exam. Graduation Requirements: 1. Complete all program courses. 2. Complete the required duration without exceeding the maximum timeframe. 3. Attend three training workshops organized by the university during the study period. 4. Pass the competency exam with a minimum score of 85% in all theoretical courses. 5. The diploma is awarded by decision of the University Director based on recommendation from the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Vice Director for Academic Affairs.

Department Head: Prof. Haitham Zinham About the Program: This program focuses on Emirati folk literature, highlighting its sources, introducing its types and prominent figures, and tracing its artistic, thematic and functional characteristics and transformations, in comparison with regional neighboring literature of the same type and its global counterpart, through bringing Emirati folk literary texts into systematic analysis and researching their various historical and cultural contexts. The program also focuses on the generic survey of various aspects of folk literature in the country, whether those with global extension such as folk tales, myths, proverbs, songs and various poetic forms, or those representing Emirati uniqueness in poetry and prose. The program, while tracing sensitivities, experiences and transformations considering fields, generations and social classes, also fundamentally establishes the inherited Emirati values and reinforces their importance in consolidating social cohesion across various societal groups. The program is built on developments in global systematic observation of folk literary phenomena and texts, and new technical and digital developments in documentation and study, and employing research results in institutional projects.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Protection and Deconstructing Extremist Discourse is the first program of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. It is an academic training program designed to prepare scientific cadres of specialists and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to intellectually and scientifically rehabilitate those with extremist and deviant thoughts, achieve their psychological and social balance, correct their misconceptions about intellectual and religious concepts, and reintegrate them into society. The program contributes to meeting the needs of institutions in the United Arab Emirates for specialists in deconstructing extremist discourse and intellectual protection, protecting society from all types of extremism, terrorism, and deviant ideas, and preventing them, which ensures the achievement of security, safety, and future development.
