Department Head: Dr. Ahmed Laklami About the Program: The Doctorate program in Islamic Studies at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities comes as a strategic initiative to implement the vision of the United Arab Emirates in responding and positively interacting with contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges, aiming to deepen understanding of the characteristics of the Islamic religion and address evolving societal and humanitarian issues.

Department Head: Dr. Ahmed Laklami About the Program: The mission of the "PhD in Arabic Language and Literature" program is to develop scholarly personalities proficient in Arabic language sciences and civilizational communication tools, and to prepare specialists to meet the needs of the Emirati society in particular and humanity in general. This program aims to equip students with the most important 21st century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. It also broadens and deepens their scientific and cognitive horizons in their field of specialization, enabling them to master scientific research methods and their goals; building knowledge derived from original sources and open to contemporary references from various languages and civilizations; meeting the needs of the UAE, Gulf states, Arab and Islamic countries by providing distinguished competencies with the necessary qualifications for university and educational fields, relevant government ministries, and various social institutions.
