Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities launches master’s programme in religious studies

Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanitieshas launched a master’s programme in religious studies as part of its vision to enable students to master creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to take initiative and achieve an intellectual, psychological and material balance.

The Master’s in Religious Studies also strengthens the university’s leadership in the field of humanities and social sciences and is intended for graduates from these disciplines, as well as the fields of education, tolerance and coexistence, economics, management, communications, public relations, and other related areas of study.

Graduates of the programme will acquire skills in cultural communication, scientific and social research, and the analysis of interconnected human beliefs. These skills are in demand due to the increasingly multicultural global work environment, particularly in the UAE where 200 nationalities coexist.

This programme highlights religious diversity and the spirit of coexistence and tolerance in the UAE, supporting government initiatives to promote religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence globally.

His Excellency Dr Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, said: “The Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities is moving forward with its mission to enhance its scientific and academic role locally, regionally and internationally. The university aims to embody its leadership in humanities and social studies by offering academic courses that meet students’ desires to acquire knowledge in these fields. The design of the university’s postgraduate programs is consistent with its plans and strategy to support the country’s development, growth, and scientific research efforts.”
