Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities and Nahdlatul Ulama team up to develop academic programs on in the humanities and future studies

Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) organized a workshop in cooperation with Nahdlatul Ulama University in Indonesia to begin the process of developing academic programs for Mohamed Bin Zayed College for Future Studies.

Held in the city of Yogyakarta, the two-day workshop was led by His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, chancellor of MBZUH, and was also participated in by experts from leading public universities in the UAE, including UAE University, Khalifa University, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.

The workshop is part of efforts by MBZUH to enhance its partnerships with like-minded institutions locally and internationally, especially in developing academic and research programs

During the workshop, experts from the participating universities shared their experiences in developing academic and research curricula. They also discussed ways to improve study programs, develop joint research projects, and facilitate scientific exchanges between partner institutions as well as initial plans for joint degree-granting programs, which will enhance academic cooperation between participating educational institutions and offer innovative solutions to future challenges.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Al Daheri said, “Our partnership with Nahdlatul Ulama University comes within the framework of the university’s vision to expand the horizons of academic and research cooperation with international educational institutions, especially in advanced fields such as the humanities, future studies. This workshop is the beginning of further collaborative efforts aimed at developing joint study programs and creating research projects that will be beneficial for future generations.”

He added, “The participation of the UAE University, Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia was both significant and strategic, as they played an important role in enriching the details of the workshop owing to their academic and research experience and expertise. This will help consolidate cooperation and provide us with opportunities to exchange

experiences and innovative ideas, such as developing joint degree-granting programs and other related academic projects.”
