Tuition and Expenses Policy for International Students
Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities has introduced a range of affordable academic programs to support international students in completing their undergraduate studies. This initiative is part of the university’s expansion efforts and its commitment to attracting and embracing exceptional students from diverse nationalities.
Target
By opening opportunities for international students to join the university and creating a supportive academic environment that includes students from different nationalities, we aim to stimulate learning and growth while fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures and human experiences.

Tuition and fees provisions:
Study Fees
- Tuition fees depend on the classification of the college and the major and the tuition fees for Bachelor’s differ from the tuition fees for postgraduate studies.
- The tuition fee does not include book costs.
- Students also have to pay some fees in order to enter the university.
- The full or half of the prescribed tuition fees shall be paid in advance, and in the event the student withdraws from the university or some courses or suspends/postponed studies, the amounts shall be refunded according to the refund provisions.
- New students admitted to the university must pay an amount as a down payment to reserve a seat and confirm their acceptance at the university as follows:
- Undergraduate students2,100 dirhams including value added tax (5%)
- Postgraduate students 4,200 dirhams, including value-added tax (5%)
The amount paid for confirming student acceptance (seat reservation) is calculated from the tuition fees in the event of completing the registration procedures at the university.
- Tuition fees are paid for each semester, and this is done in one payment, and it may be paid in two installments as a maximum, and the first installment must not be less than 50% of the total amount and paid in advance by one of the approved payment methods, with the exception of bank checks.
- All tuition fees, including installments and deferred payments, must be paid on time in order for the student to register for the next semester.
- Students’ failure to attend the registered course materials does not lead to a refund of the value of these materials. Students must withdraw the registered course(s) before the deadline for addition/withdrawal according to the academic calendar.
- No tuition fees are charged if the university cancels the course.
- The student will not be charged for administrative services in the event of postponement or withdrawal.
- The university may, by a decision of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, dismiss a student “administratively” for one or more semesters, if he does not pay the tuition fees within the specified deadlines. Students who have been dismissed can re-register and a late payment fee of/- 500 dirhams will be applied.
Payment methods available
Students can pay tuition fees in one of the following ways:
- Cash deposit (through an ATM or any branch of First Abu Dhabi Bank)
- Bank transfer
- Payment by credit card
- A bank check in UAE dirhams drawn from UAE bank accounts.
First: cash deposit
When depositing or transferring the amount of tuition fees, the student’s name, university number and ID number must be mentioned in the deposit/transfer instructions and send the deposit and transfer slip to finance@mbzuh.ac.ae in order to issue a receipt voucher for the value of the payment.
Second: bank transfer
- Note: – The name and number of the student and the student ID number must be included in the payment details.

Third: Payment by credit card
- Credit Card: Credit Card
- Payment by credit card is accepted through the Finance Department. A receipt is issued for the value of the payment.
Fourth: A bank check in UAE dirhams
- A bank check is used to pay the second installment of tuition fees.
- When handing over a bank check to the Financial Affairs Department, the bank check must be in UAE dirhams and drawn from the accounts of UAE banks. The date of the bank check should not exceed one month from the time of registration.
- In the event that any of the bank checks submitted by students to the university is returned, a fine of 500 dirhams is imposed for each bounced check.
Detailed tuition and fees payment plans
Students pay tuition fees and expenses by choosing one of the following payment plans:

- The refund clause applies in the event the student withdraws or is expelled from all courses during the semester, or if he withdraws from some courses during the semester, or if the study is postponed.
- Refunds are calculated according to the following schedules:

- The student should review the academic calendar of the university to see the dates of withdrawal from courses / addition.
- Refunds will be issued to the student within 15 working days.
