This program is designed to consolidate the culture of tolerance, coexistence and appreciation of differences, by providing basic knowledge and sciences, identifying the human commonalities and the skills required to link the principle of tolerance as a principle rooted in the Emirati national identity, and graduating human cadres at a high level of integrated academic preparation in terms of knowledge and skills to spread the culture of tolerance coexistence in the various institutions of society and contribute to sustainable social development in a positive and constructive manner and in accordance with the standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Bachelors Degree Program Admission Requirements:
  • The applicant shall achieve a minimum average of:
    • 80% in the general secondary certificate for the General Stream
    • 75% in the general secondary certificate for the Advanced Stream
    • 70% in the general secondary certificate for the Elite Stream
  • The student shall pass the personal interview, which includes an oral test and a placement test.

The student shall meet the following requirements to be admitted at the end of the first semester:

  • A minimum average of (2) in the semester average.
  • A minimum score of (1250) points in the Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) in Arabic language, and a minimum score of (1000) in English or its equivalent in other standardized tests (IETLS, TOEFL …).
  • A minimum score of (700) points in the Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) in mathematics.

University Study System
  • The study system of the program is the credit hours system, and teaching will be during the academic week days only, i.e. From Sunday to Thursday.
  • The program is presented in the blended study system in accordance with the academic accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates.
Program Objectives
  1. To qualify the student cognitively and skillfully to promote the culture of tolerance and coexistence and apply its principles in the light of Islamic legislation and local and international laws.
  2. To highlight the national values of tolerance and coexistence with others related to the legacy of Sheikh Zayed and the civilization and heritage of the Emirati society.
  3. To develop the thought of tolerance and coexistence among students in a manner that reflects the culture of tolerance prevailing in the United Arab Emirates.
  4. To contribute in providing the local needs of various institutions of qualified cadres specialized in the sciences and skills of tolerance and coexistence.
  5. To raise the awareness of the importance of the media and its role in promoting the culture of tolerance and coexistence.
  6. To develop the students’ ability to think critically and analytically in the line of culture and thought of tolerance and coexistence.
  7. To develop the learner’s ability to understand and interact with multi-religious and multicultural environments.
  8. To encourage scientific research in the field of tolerance and coexistence, support the movement of authorship and translation in this field, and contributing to holding conferences, seminars and workshops inside the university, or participating therein outside it.
Program Outcomes

After success in this program, the student is expected to be able to:

  1. Explains the concepts and theoretical knowledge related to tolerance and coexistence.
  2. Explains the concepts and theories of tolerance and coexistence in international and local legislation, in accordance with the legal and social controls and legislation of the United Arab Emirates.
  3. Analyzes the challenges facing the culture of tolerance and coexistence in Gulf, Arab and international societies.
  4. Invests the acquired knowledge in developing his abilities and building a scientific personality capable of assuming responsibility.
  5. Apply scientific and practical skills to develop creative solutions to problems related to hatred, violence, and rejection of others.
  6. Cary out scientific research to promote the culture and thought of tolerance and coexistence.
  7. Uses modern means of communication and technologies to spread a culture of tolerance and coexistence.
  8. Bears responsibility for spreading the culture of coexistence and tolerance and makes appropriate decisions in various professional situations.
  9. Participates independently in promoting the idea of ​​tolerance and coexistence within the relevant institutions and bodies.
  10. Develops his practical and professional practices in the field of tolerance and coexistence.
  11. Adopts a tolerant outlook, ethical standards, and professional controls while exercising his job.
