“ The future of Arabic language and complementarity of knowledge“

 The Arabic language, with its lexical capacity and flexibility in expressing different meanings, has overcome two major obstacles in its long history. The first is its ability to understand the language of revelation, and the second is its translation of the culture of other  civilizations.

 In every age, the language finds itself facing a new challenge, as it faces the rapid developments in the world of technology, which have become determinants of the acquisition of language and knowledge on the one hand, and their delivery on the other hand. This places the future of the Arabic language before unprecedented stakes, which invite us to search for new horizons that will enable it to fulfill its pioneering civilized role

One of the most important horizons in which the Arabic language can take root is that of integration of knowledge that is characteristic of this era, as if it is a summon to the culture of ancient eras in which the integration of knowledge was a necessary requirement to acquire identity: an Islamic jurist, linguist, critic, poet, orator, etc. Without being able to combine multiple knowledge aspects, “cultural” identity remains incomplete

The call to cognitive integration was born in the second half of the twentieth century, which witnessed Western thinkers reviewing the concept of cognitive specialization that dominated in the first half of that century. Rather, the roots of cognitive integration extend to our Arab heritage; The linguists, jurisprudence scholars, critics and rhetorics insisted on the necessity of integrating linguistic sciences with jurisprudential sciences in order to achieve scientific accuracy and to reach the best results. All their writings were based on this interdependent and logic

The researcher observes that ancient scholars dealt with this issue from perspectives:

 ♦ Internal complementarity: in which the linguistic sciences overlap with each other, towards the integration of morphological sciences, grammar, rhetoric, criticism, linguistics, phonetics and discourse analysis, etc.

♦ External complementarity two-dimensional; The first is the integration of the sciences of the Arabic language with non-linguistic sciences from within the Islamic culture, such as the sciences of the Qur’an, hadith, Explanation, the science of origins of jurisprudence, and others. The second consists in making Arabic language sciences benefit from the sciences of the surrounding cultures: Greek, Hindi, Persian and Latin

Because of the importance of this issue, we decided to present it to the scientific debate to reveal the aspects of this complementarity, and explain its applications and areas of investment.

The conference aims to address the issue of “The future of the Arabic language and the complementarity of knowledge” through deep consideration of the following axes

◊  The future of Arabic language and internal complementarity

◊  The future of the Arabic language and external complementarity

◊  The effect of knowledge complementarity on the development of Arabic language

♦ The research paper should not be presented at a previous conference or seminar, or published in a scientific journal, or taken from a university thesis

♦  Following the standards of the scientific method in writing and documentation

♦  Topics within conference themes

♦ Putting margins and comments at the end of each page, and the references at the end of the paper

♦  The paper should not exceed 30 pages, A4 format, including references and indexes

♦ Adopting the (Simplified Arabic) font,  size (16), (12) in the margins, and the Times New Roman font in writing the abstract in English, size (14) in the text, and (10) in the margins.

♦ Margins are coordinated sequentially, and attached to the footer of each page. They are placed between brackets (1) (2) (3) in the body and in the margins
